Courtesy hopscotch. The body is mostly clear and glowing orange-amber in color. A significant, frothy white head settles slowly to a bubbly, foamy layer. Sudsy lacing decorates the glass well. The aroma shows huge, fresh orange and grapefruit hops over a big caramel and toffee malt base. Some toasty grains are thrown in for good measure. The flavor again shows alot of fresh orange juice, with grapefruit hops adding bitterness. Medium-full bodied, this brew sports an even, well carbonated mouthfeel. Finishes with a hefty dose of buttery toffee. Solid IIPA. I enjoyed this one very much.

Deep reddish orange in color with a nie white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Hoppy and malty aroma. Earthy, piney grassy hops. Malty caramel and hoppy flavor. Finish is bitter. Medium bodied. Very nice. Very drinkable.

(sampled with irishboy and footbalm)translucent orange with a nice off white head.i get good lacing and webbing as the head sits.huge pine and citrus nose.i only wish the flavor was stuffed with the notes as the aroma.but instead it was "bitter" and the mouthfeel was thin.oh well the appearance and aroma were very nice.

22 oz bottle in Anchorage. Orange -- what else can I say? The head is white and foamy with good retention and lacing. Aroma is metallic and tart orange citrus. It drinks with a musty creaminess, citricly acids restrained in the midst of a big mooshy brew. (#3306, 1/21/2008)

Bomber from cbkschubert: Nose of light pine, citrus, and caramel; Very lightly hazed copper with a big off white head; flavor of medium bitterness and light caramel; it’s a little on the thin side with a light hop bitter finish.

From a 22oz Bottle. Pours a hazy, light golden orange color with a finger of tight bubbled, well sustaining off-white head. Hoppy aromas of lemon zest, white grapefruit, and red pine sit atop a gentle toffee malt base. Clean and fresh. Medium bodied, briskly carbonated mouthfeel with a prickly texture. Could use a bit more carbonation to give it more of a dry carbonic bite, although it’s pleasantly dry enough in the residual sugar department. Lots of hop flavor and bitterness, and only a trace of graham cracker malt character evident mid-palate. The hop assault starts out with flavors of white pine and juniper, and finishes with a pithy, white grapefruit smack. Lots of bitterness, moderate flavor. Dry and bitter enough to be considered a good hop bomb, but the flavors aren’t anything complex enough to make this stellar.

22oz. bomber thanks to Brian for sharing. Hazy orange/amber color with a medium sized off white head. Big grapefruit hop aroma with some pine and also a bit of cat piss. Bitter flavor of grapefruit pith, resiny pine with only a hint of caramel malt in the background. A couple of years ago I probably would have liked this beer a lot more, but I am having trouble enjoying unbalanced hop bombs lately.

Bomber poured a clear orange with a small lingeringamber head. Aromas of musky hop goodness, pine, earthiness, resin, orange, pink grapefruit, light carmel and tangerine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of grapefruit rind, pine, orange, light carmel and hints of earthiness with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.
An absoulutly amazing DIPA!
