| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Whoa, there’s a lot of pineapple in there! This beer has a ton of pineapple aroma and dry bitterness in spades. I thought it delicious. The best DIPA I’ve had in months.
It poured an opaque orange color with a wisp of head. Aroma is tons of pineapple, and is totally delicious. Flavor is also quite good although not quite as good as the aroma. It is bitterly dry and astringent, but hey I like that kind of thing.
Mouthfeel is quite dry and good.
I’d highly recommend this beer. It came from a bottle courtesy of SurlySober. I believe he got it from LiquidSolutions.com. greenhorn1 (460), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Oct 31, 2007 22 oz bottle from Bottletrek.com. Do not read this, do not waste time, you must get a bottle of this before there is no more...it is unfreakin’ believable! Hop snobs wet dream! You can instantly smell the hops as you pour it. Flavor is perfectly balance between caramel malts and hops. Great citrus bite and big floral flavor. Pine notes in the foreground. Very easy to drink and the alcohol is unnoticeable. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 30, 2007 Thanks to Tom for sharing! This is a really nice hop bomb. Pours a slight hazy light golden/ yellowish with a fluffy lasting tight white head and good lace. Tons of summit- spicy resinous orange and grapefruit zest- almsot peppery as well- more citrusy hops with tropical notes, some mango and catpiss as well, but not as much as the Wrath. Tons of zesty hop bitterness in the flavor- tropical fruits, resinous hops, lots of clean pine needles and grapefruit. Harsh tacky resinous bitterness- very nice. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 22, 2007 This one poured a dark orange color. Some orange peels, tangerines, and lemons in the nose. Mainly lemons and oranges are showing up in the flavor with a hint of pine. This one has a nice malt backbone to it. The finish is rather bitter. Overall this was a nice IIPA. Aroma of huge piney hops, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, caramel malt. The aroms is huge and just delicious in this! Tastes resiny hoppy, with a firm caramel malt base, plus notes of pineapple, mango, black pepper, grapefruit, honeydew, and pine nuts. This one is outstanding.
