willblake (1920), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Apr 29, 2008 20071025 Bomber. Sticky, massively hopped stuff. summit? Cat pee but also a bit armpitish but I’m digging it nonetheless. That’s unusual. Canned pineapple juice. Long dry finish.
Ale_Drinker (1055), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jun 25, 2008 Pours copper with a big, thick, white, lasting head. Big hoppy aroma is mostly pine. Flavor is sweet for a split second and then bitterness settles in. Pine and bitterness cover the tongue like tree sap. Bitterness tends to cover everything else. Not very complex. tytoanderso (1152), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA May 22, 2008 22oz bottle. Hop bomb for sure. Floral aroma. Plenty of bitter citrus and a touch of cedar. Smatterings of pine resin, but only a bit. Pours a heavy looking dark hazy copper with a thin white head. Flavor is all sorts of bitter. Lacking the nuances of any particular hop flavor though. Slightly soapy. Oily, resinous, bitter hops. Malt? Nah... Just bitter, bitter hops. BlackDonald (724), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA May 12, 2008 I have to say this was terribly disappointing. Perhaps a hop head would like this more than myself, but the human tongue can only taste 100 IBUs! Christ, this made my tongue numb, I felt like I was drinking pine-sol mized with freshly squuezed hop juice. The nose should have given it away, extremely skunky bong water aroma. I thought this was horrid. ogglethorp (752), Ohio, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with medium sized off white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, floral. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, floral, light malts. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished very bitter. Very good.
