Aroma of a load of American hops, caramel, orange, light pine and floral notes. Flavor of even more American hops...pine, orange, floral other citrus. Nice caramel and lightly toasted malt to balance. Some earthy notes. Midnight Sun does it again with another great hoppy beer. WeeHeavySD (2966), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Pretty low alchohol DIPA, wondering how it will go. Shared with my Girlfriend Cyn. Pours dark orange with a bright white frothy head. Nose is extremely hoppy and full of pine pine pine. Taste is hoppy grassy and full of pine. This good but very one dimensional, complexity for me on this one is extremely limited. Olbiteration II was better for me. Bomber shared with my good beer buddies, DrBayern and doboy (hey Matt and Ed, that was great fun dudes!). Pours a deep amber/orange forming an off white foamy head. Aroma was pine resins, hops, wet forrest grass. Flavour was of huge hopped malts, clean caramel grapefruit. Leaves lovely lacing with each sip, bitterness is the icing on the cake, easily drinkable. Rather sticky mouth feel that begs for more. Kick ass beer! doboy (177), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 Thanks for CelticBrew for this nice offering which was shared with DrBayern. Another light copper colored offering with a milder than I expected aroma.
With a nice mouthfeel, I found this very drinkable. Hops was not too overpowering, nice balance with malts. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2008 The fourth and final beer brought over by CelticBrew for our little mini-tasting of IPA’s with myself, Jim, and Doboy. This one was a deep orange/amber with a medium off white head and respectable lace. Fresh hoppy aroma that was grassy, floral, piney and citrusy. Not to be left out, the malt provided its contribution in the way of some sweet toffee.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation, smooth and clean palate. Starts off with a a lot of malty sweetness that lingers, tempered by a welcome grapefruit bitterness. Lengthy bitter finish is the icing on the cake. Matches up well with the Port 15 we had just moments before. If only every Saturday was like this!! kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle shared by ogglethorp: Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Aroma, big citrus notes, pale malts, earthy and herbal notes. Flavor, earthy, pine, citrus, some caramel and pale malts fight their way through, but it’s a hop bomb, and it finishes strong with a big bitter finish. Damn good beer.
