| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a small, bubbly, white head.
Smell: Hops, baby, smelling primarily of tropical fruit candies jam-packed with notes of citrus, passion fruit, pineapple, and apricot. Maybe a bit of pine sap thrown in for good measure.
Taste: Light, brief pale maltiness with a candyish sweetness to it. Then bring on those strong, juicy fruits, drop in some citrus pith, and stir it around with a few pine needles. A jolt of medium-high bitterness. Tiny hints of rebounding malt character here and there, but, for the most part, it’s all hops. Resiny, bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body that’s a bit chewy, a bit oily. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A very quality, finely crafted Double IPA from the good folks at Midnight Sun. For me, it was far more enjoyable then the previous Obliteration offering. jarspag (595), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2008 Bomber from Mr. McDonald. Nose was boosting clean, pine fresh hops...flavor was a mix of fruits - a bit of candy apple - smothered by a really intense, earthy green bitterness. Bitter finish is deep and long. This is super bitter - stings the back of the tongue and dries out as it fades. Teeming w/ a massive hop flavor - and that’s about only where it shines..lacks much complexity. Very good - but I’m not in awe. unclemattie (2410), Georgia, USA

Pours an amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is massive citrus and floral hops exclusively. Flavor is huge citrus again, grass, pine. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished with a biting bitterness leaving the tongue numb. Great stuff! Rogueone (506), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 21, 2008 Bottle: Pours a soft amber. Intense hop blast to the nose here of sweet citrus and grapefruit. Earthy, resiny, sticky hop flavor and bitter orange rind. Grapefruit lingers on the palate for quite some time. Definitely a hop head’s beer. brewandbbq (269), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | May 21, 2008 Pours clear, dark copper, with a half-inch head of off-white.
Retention is average, with a partial skim coat on the surface for the duration and some minor lacing.
Aromatics are pungent, earthy, and citrusy. Heaps of grapefruit pith ground into pine bark. Some orange rind settles into the mix as well as resinous alphas. Drying and fruity with a light to medium malt backbone.
Medium bodied, sticky and sappy. Crisp and minerally.
The pallet starts off with a blast of tropical fruit and a rush of drying bitterness quickly follows. Grapefruit zest, spruce cambium, cut grass, and bitter orange make for a nice blend. Plenty of chaulky dryness and snappy crispness.
Malt is light and in no way balances the hops.
The bitterness sustains throughout, and allows the brew to finish quite lenghty.
Finishes with plenty of firm, smooth bitterness, almost puckering grapefruit, and warming alcohol.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Deep coppery orange with a strong off white head. Nice nose of tangerine, grapefruit. Solid citric bitterness with a good sweet malt backbone. Finishes mostly bitter. At under 8%, it doesn’t clobber you after drinking a whole bomber. Not a palate wrecker either. Fairly straightforward but pretty tasty overall. bhensonb (4252), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2008 Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Strong aroma of citrus hop over sweet malt. Ruby amber color with a decent off-white head. Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is citrus hop and bready malt. Hop grabs and won’t let go. Finishes dry, more or less, but really nicely bitter. Excellent drink.
