UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 Bottle courtesy of Pizzl. Pours a deep cloud of a human body. Aroma is tart fruit and sour tart yeast, lemons, light wine and funk. Mouthfeel is perfect with notes of tart fruit, pineapple, citrus, oak and lemon.

5 years and what do you get? More subtle wild sour. Some chardonnay and apple juice aroma. No head. Light yellow colour. Very drinkable and unique.

Bottle: Straw & dull, light yellow in color. Cloudy with absolutely no head on the pour. Even an aggressive pour. Barely any bubbles at all. Strange. Aroma contains juicy pears, apples, sweet grapefruit, peach, & light oak towards the finish. I don’t get much funk, Brett, or really any other wild yeast characteristics on the nose... Again, kind of strange? Mostly just wood & fruit. Taste is similar... Notes of tart apple, pears, light cherry & a damp oaky wood flavor cascading into the finish. There is finally a HINT of some funk on the palate, mostly like damp cellar floor musk, but nothing too notable. Carbonation is nonexistent, making for a disappointing mouth feel & body. Oily, flat. Fell very short of expectations.

Bottle shared at Anchorage Jan ’15 Tasting: A gem I thought would never see in my life, thanks to my friend Ryan sharing it. Poured a almost clear color with white head. Aroma was strong fruit and rubber. Taste was woodsy oak, sour, bread, wild yeast, and soft fruit. Past what it once probably was, but worth drinking.

Bottle at share, clear light Amber, little head. Aroma dry cider and brett. Taste is kombucha, dry cider, peach, a faint brett funk on the finish. Palate is light, carbonation bright. Finish is slightly bitter/sour.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Tart dry lemon peel, earthy, wet wood, dry hay aromas. Medium bodied with very soft carbonation. Dry hay, tart lemon, bready, grapefruit rind flavors with some wet wood, white wine, green apples___it’s good but nothing special.

22oz bomber shared by CaseyK. Thanks! Hazy yellow-tan body. Oily non-head. Very lactic, reminds me of Berliner Weisse. Mellow on the palate, but lots of lemony citrus. Mild, very one-dimensional. Mild carbonation, finishes a little watery for the style. Somewhere between a Berliner and a Sour. Nice.

22oz bottle. Pours pale yellow with barely a head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma of pineapple, musty basement, citrus and oaky white wine. Flavor is very light with just a light sourness and tartness and faint hay and malt. Light body with low carbonation. I’ve had this many times throughout the years and have never really been that impressed. It really hasn’t changed that much but seems to be slowly going downhill, drink up.

Had this on 01/30/2013 at James’ apt. Thanks to whoever brought! Hazy yellow pour. Light, airy nose and palate; not consistently "sharp" but s our in waves, gentle and subtle, like a sour weiss. Very nice.

Pale straw, cloudy, dissipating white head. Dusty, earthy, lemon, dry cracker-like malt, tart fruit, berries, Chardonnay barrels evident. Pretty clean for a wild fermentation. Very drinkable, balanced, interesting wild ale.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2013 66cl bomber and 2010 vintage courtesy of 77ships. Thanks Eugène for cracking this AK gem open.
