1- light smoke, chocolate, roast, no esters and no diacetyl 2- dark brown, tan head 3- molasses, raisin, alcohol 4- med-full body, slight astringency, finishes a bit dry 5- A nicely smoked beer. Many times a smoked beer is over done and tastes like an ashtray. This is very well put together.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan / brown head. Nose brings out light smoke, oxidation, vegetal notes and cocoa - not very pleasant. Flavour is light on the smoke, with notes of chocolate, vegetal notes, and oxidation. Not very elegant at all, with some off-notes. Not good.

Thanks to Mike. Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Jet black with a thin tan head. The smoke dominates the aroma, some soft caramel notes. The flavor its very Nice, smoke, caramel, chocolate, coffee. Very Nice balance.

Bottle at a bottle share. Pours a thick black color. Nose is very smokey with some subtle roasting to it. Taste is also pretty heavily smokey and feels heavy, but rather smooth. Seems like it would be great with some barbecue.

Bomber. Pours a dark black color with a small white head. A malty rich smoky nose. A big sweet flavor, burnt caramel, smoked meat, berries, licorice. Quite good. Stout like.

Bottle. Colour...very dark brown, to nearly black with a thick tan head. Nose...lightly smoky with bonfire, bacon, cafe au lait and malted milk. Palate...thin, frothy and quite smoky with charred pork, beef jerky and smoked brisket. There’s a sweet barbecue smoke flavour and a tangy BBQ chip flavour at the back of the palate. The smokiness lingers nicely!

Bottle - Smoke, plum, bacon and some molasses and chocolate. Jet black with a thin red/brown head. Lots of chocolate, smoke and some dark fruit. Smoke isn’t as prominent in the flavor as in the nose.
