Commercial Description:
Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. SLOTH Belgian-style Imperial Stout is deliberately dark as hell. The pour is slow and sluggish. Its head is menacing, becoming torn and tattered Belgian lace on the sides of the glass as you cautiously consume this brew—sip by insidious sip. The aroma is sweet from heavy malt and big alcohol with notes of vanilla, coconut and whiskey from the oak. The depth & breadth of roasted malt flavors loiters on the palate while the robust finish lingers, well, forever. SLOTH...Just add couch.

Bottle shared by puzzl. Pours black with a ring of tan head. Aroma is milk chocolatey and roasted malts. Taste is similarly sweet chocolate. Very tasty stuff with a sticky mouthfeel and more chocolate in the finish. I felt sinful drinking this bad boy. Another winner from Midnight Sun.

Bottle generously shared by jarspag for the 7/18 D-Metal at his pad in OC. Thanks again for this rarity bro! This one was sampled before and after the QUAZZ! This is a seriously thick, viscous and tasty Belgian imperial Stout! Pours pitch black, and fairly still with some minimal traces of lace. Aroma is loaded with sugary vanilla, blackened malt and bourbon alcohol warmth. All-around a fantastic flavor; big, robust chocolate malts with sweet anise, licorice and coffee. Awesomely chewy palate. The "Just add couch" is perfect for this beer, considering that’s all we did for this session.

Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to JCB for this one! Inky black pour with brown head and slight spotty lace. Dark roasty aroma. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, coconut and yeast.

Thanks a TON to JCB for bring this to the tasting for me. Pours a dark black with a really nice creamy chestnut brown head. The nose is dark and roasty, milk chocolate, sweet fruit, coffee. The flavor is roasty, fruity, chocolate, coffee, very smooth. Nice smooth and rich palate that is lightly warming.

Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to AKBelgianBeast for the trade! A huge thick head sits atop a rich, inky black pour. Strong roasted notes and creamy chocolate aromas emerge quickly. Prickly carbonation is a bit surprising, but it doesn’t do anything more than deliver the massive chocolatey goodness of this beer even more effectively. Complex, scrumptious, very good.

Bomber. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Pours opaque black with a thin but dense tan head. Coffee and caramel nose. Creamy, sweet full body and light carbonation. Aroma and taste of chocolate, coffee, vanilla.
