MaxxDaddy (208), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Apr 9, 2008 Bottle shared by puzzl. Pours black with a ring of tan head. Aroma is milk chocolatey and roasted malts. Taste is similarly sweet chocolate. Very tasty stuff with a sticky mouthfeel and more chocolate in the finish. I felt sinful drinking this bad boy. Another winner from Midnight Sun.

This one was sampled before and after the QUAZZ! This is a seriously thick, viscous and tasty Belgian imperial Stout! Pours pitch black, and fairly still with some minimal traces of lace. Aroma is loaded with sugary vanilla, blackened malt and bourbon alcohol warmth. All-around a fantastic flavor; big, robust chocolate malts with sweet anise, licorice and coffee. Awesomely chewy palate. The "Just add couch" is perfect for this beer, considering that’s all we did for this session. ucusty (853), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 21, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to JCB for this one! Inky black pour with brown head and slight spotty lace. Dark roasty aroma. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, coconut and yeast. emacgee (977), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 21, 2008 Thanks a TON to JCB for bring this to the tasting for me. Pours a dark black with a really nice creamy chestnut brown head. The nose is dark and roasty, milk chocolate, sweet fruit, coffee. The flavor is roasty, fruity, chocolate, coffee, very smooth. Nice smooth and rich palate that is lightly warming. JCB (891), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 20, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to AKBelgianBeast for the trade! A huge thick head sits atop a rich, inky black pour. Strong roasted notes and creamy chocolate aromas emerge quickly. Prickly carbonation is a bit surprising, but it doesn’t do anything more than deliver the massive chocolatey goodness of this beer even more effectively. Complex, scrumptious, very good. bitbucket (1478), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bomber. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Pours opaque black with a thin but dense tan head. Coffee and caramel nose. Creamy, sweet full body and light carbonation. Aroma and taste of chocolate, coffee, vanilla.
