slight cloudy light gold pour good dense white head. aroma of barley, sour bread, cumin is strong here. tastes strongly of bread, yeast spice. good flavorful punch. I probably couldnít session this though; too much spice becomes bitter. sweet but finishes dry enough. midweight palate. light carb.

The appearance is a pure clear yellow colored body with a slim one finger white foamy head with some slim lacing trying to cling to the sides but slides down at a fairly moderate pace; the smell has some slight peppery tones that display a degree of Belgian yeastiness coming through in a funky sort of way; the taste has some peppery and yeasty funkiness with a peppery aftertaste; dry yet somewhat of a watery finish; its very easy on the palate and has an extremely nice refreshing quality to it; overall this is a decent witbier most likely worthy of revisiting in the summer months

Nice spicy wit bier. Big wheat! I hate the can for this beer. I like it. I want to put a couple more in a big pretty glass.

Aluminum can from South Bay Liquor: Aroma is mild with obvious scents of coriander and orange peel that smells true to traditional witbiers. The liquid glowed a vibrant yellow hue but towards the bottom of the pint glass was a pure color of white transparency. The drink is fruity and taste of peach or apricot juice but does hold a nice spicy profile of coriander and clove. Slight chance of orange peel and pepper in the finish but also has a funky tart after taste that doesnít sit with me well.

Clear golden coloured body with no haze at all, with a three centimetre tall, slightly soapy whit ehead and a lot of bubbles rising from the bottom, but relatively slow moving. Aroma of coriander seed, curacao, bubble gum, curry, earthiness and some more light spices - complex aroma. Light-bodied; Sharp wheat flavour at first with a hit of spices, some coriander seed freshness, but a curry-like flavour with hits of a slightly spicey note and a little fruit sweetness, but not much of the curacao picked up at all, nor any whole fruit. Aftertaste shows a mild spiciness and a hint of light wheat, but not terribly mild nor refreshing. Overall, a fairly substandard beer for Midnight Sun, but it wasnít bad - and would probably be decent for most brewers. Nice to try, and easy to bring back home with me, as it was a can, but I wonít be bringing any more of this with me the next time up to the last frontier! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-May-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in Washington on the opposite end of the country on 05-September-2013.

Can From Summer 2013 Secret Santa. Thanks! Cloudy Yellow, huge white head. Smells spicy, clovey, and a good deal of spicy orange. Taste is crisp, with solid crackery malts and then some citrus. Nice amounts of coriander and clove. I did not get any cumin, but that may have been the undefined "spicy" note I mentioned.

Cans from Holiday Wine Cellar. Hazy yellow-gold color with a thick fluffy white head that yields some thick lacing. The scent is yeasty, with a lot of barnyard hay, and some citrus notes. Itís light-bodied and clean but not thin and watery like some can be in this style. Fruity and spicy flavors of coriander, orange peel, wheat, and a good dose of herbal hops. Rather dry in the finish with firm hop bitterness. Definitely more hoppy than expected, which I have no problem with. This is a very good beer for the warm summer months. Iím surprised the ratings arenít higher.
