Nice hoppy aromas - piney with citris. Tasted just like it smelled. Not too bitter of a finish with a slight sweetness to it. Not a bad IPA. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2004 This was a thoroughly impressive beer. It pours a reddish amber color with a massive tan head which took a damn eternity to dissipate in my pint glass. The aroma was entrancing. These were probably some of the freshest hops I have ever smelled, right there next to Stone and Alesmith IPA’s straight off the tap. I mean these hops were FRESH!!! The aroma was woody, piney, with hints of citrus and orange. The flavor was a class act as well. Caramel hints with citrus and sweet tangerine, tons of fresh hop bitterness. Its like i can also chew the sweetness amidst the tangy hoppiness. Seething with flavor. Floral dryness finishes this beer up. Full, sometimes creamy mouthfeel. Just a great beer! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2004 Copper in colour with an absolutely huge tan frothy head that leaves a sticky and thick lacing. The nose is very hoppy (but not overly) with a kiss of citrus. The taste has that zing of hops but ends up being more subdued and more of copper and rust than anything else. Not too bitter, pretty darn good overall, but I wouldnt say better than sierre nevada. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA
