| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Pours dark red with a big head. A little too soapy and malty to get super high marks, but a valiant effort at a "red" IPA. The cascade taste is just a little too dominant here for me but it’s still pretty solid. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Bottle thanks to GMCC2181. Poured red in color with tan head. Aroma is very strong pine, with floral hops. taste was very hoppy, with malt, citrus, and floral notes. Finished nice, but wouldn’t want it again. GMCC2181 (856), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Bottle thanks to sleazy eazy E. Thanks E! Nice aroma of hops.... Red in color followed by a good head. I have never liked "red" ipa’s and this one didnt change my mind. The taste is a nice bitterness but what ever the "red" is in the after taste bothers me. To malty imo...The carbonation level is a little high, but the texture and everything else is good. Just the taste is not to my liking. Thanks again E for sending this one my way. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Pours a dark, clear brownish amber with a rocky off-white head that shows very good retention and lacing. It’s one of the darkest IPAs I’ve ever seen - very nice looking.
Aroma is like walking into a pine forest - a massive floral hop smell that you can smell straight out of the bottle. There’s probably a touch of malts in the there but it’s all about the piny hops.
Pine hops dominate the taste as well with a tongue-tingling bitterness up front. The taste features a much more prevalent caramel malt backbone than the aroma which balances everything out very well. The hops come back in the finish to provide a pleasantly bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is sticky with the pine hop resin and has strong carbonation that accentuates the bitterness.
This is a good IPA, especially if pine hops are your thing. sebletitje (1903), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma very hoppy, fruity.
Taste, again, a lot of hoppiness, malty, fruity with some herbal notes.
Found it to be just too hoppy, remains a good IPA. glkaiser (1164), Seattle, Washington, USA
