COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the bold spirit of Alaska, Sockeye Red IPA is a finely crafted Pacific Northwest-style India Pale Ale with a real bite. Ample pale two-row malt creates a fresh, firm body while specialty malts impart a spawning red hue. The predominant character of this fiesty catch comes from outlandish portions of Centennial, Cascade and Simcoe hops, giving this beer tremendous citrus and floral aroma and flavor.

Determined and bitter but amazingly balanced, Sockeye Red IPA is gnarly enough to take you hook, line and sinker. Forget about a bigger rig; grab a bigger glass.

Pours a darkened copper with a pillowy cream colored head. Very floral nose with mild pine accents. Grapefruit zest with a slight residual resinous flavor along with a fresh florality and earthiness. Palate is actually light and airy for the amount and types of hops used. Nicely balanced. Somewhat thin and dry but overall enjoyable.

Approximately 15 oz. from a 22 oz. bottle, consumed on 8-28-16. Pours a surprisingly dark brown (medium brown overall) with a moderate amount of cream-colored head. Nice shade of liquid and head. Hazy liquid. Good lacing. Looks good. Toasty, floral maltiness produces a dried fruit flavor. Nice, citric hoppiness in smell. Some pine and even saltiness from the hops. Like a tangy fruit salad in aroma (blueberry, orange, melon). Really nice, hoppy-dry taste with a good, toasted to caramel malt backbone. Grapefruit, lemon, peach, and tropical fruit. Lemon / vanilla cream. Freshly baked bread crust. Nice, long, full, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Nice smoothness but not the most memorable palate. My kind of beer! Well balanced and drinkable with a lot of aroma and flavor. Strong across the board. A real winner.

Caramel-bronze body with a luxurious, frothy and poofy caramel cream crown. Pine to pineapple hop nose, with a soapy leafyness. Medium-bodied, good balance between caramel malt and hops. Easy bitterness and restrained hop flavor, with winces of leafyness. A solid ESB/Red

@ best western americania 16-3-6: rätt söt och maltig med små humletoner och socker. Lite för söt.

Can from Andy. Dark amber with a tan head. That is an odd one - sorta old orange and citrus aroma, somewhat musty, caramel malt, some spice, mild carbonation and moderate body, slightly astringent, fairly grainy with some hay, bitter and fairly malty on the finish.
