JK (2392), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 26, 2008 From Skyview’s bottle. A tasty, and somewhat above average, West Coast IPA. Brown color and a thin, white head that leaves a lace. Abundant floral, flowery hops in the aroma. Flavor is bitter, and a combination of herbal hops, and sweet malt. Medium palate. This is the sort of IPA you keep in the fridge all the time.
AmEricanbrew (907), Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Aug 10, 2008 Clear copper kettle coor with a frothy tan head that lingers. Awesome smell is pine forest hops with wet kona bud. Frothy yet somehow at the same time creamy mouthfeel. After this the flavors a letdown with mild piney hops and lightly sweet malts. Great aroma, average flavor. bitbucket (1536), Kirkland, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2008 Bomber. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of grapefruit and resin. Light body and carbonation. Citrus toffee taste. Dry resinous finish. ideardorff (25), Palmer, Alaska, USA Jul 31, 2008 22oz bottle. Not your typical IPA. Amber color, light yellow head. Fairly good balance of hops and barley, kind of a cross between an Amber and an IPA. In theory it doesn’t sound like this beer would work but they pulled it off. The thing I like about this beer the most is that it’s a year round drinker. Usually I drink IPA’s in the summer but this one goes down good even in the cold Alaska winter. SuzyGreenberg (900), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2008 22 oz. bottle - purchased at Belmont Station; mostly clear, dark reddish amber; foamy white head settles quickly; sweet and sugary aromas; grassy hops; not too bitter and thin body; flavor on the light side and lacking that IPA punch; kind of blah HughConway (259), USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Nice IPA, low on the alcohol and hops which is a nice change from the contemporary style.
