On tap @ Encinitas Ale House. Black in color with a tan head. Aromas are not terribly good. Lots of roasted malt, smoke, and plastic. Some coffee, oak, and a hint of acidity. Flavor is really kind of funky. Acidic coffee, blue cheese, and char. Mild smoke and plastic. Hint of cacao. Not good.

Draft: Poured thick black with a light brown creamy head. Aroma bourbon, oak, rich malts. Taste is nice rich malts creamy to the tongue with bourbon wood edges that livens the tongue. Alcohol finish that seems warming to the palate.
