Second runnings from a ridiculously huge and complex impy stout. Pours thick and dark black with a lighter colored beige head than the Berserker, still pretty as hell. Aroma is roasted malts, as expected but no maple syrup anymore. Body and flavors are lighter than Berserker as well, as I did them back to back. It is lightly sweet roasted malts on a decent creamy body.

Draught @ TÝrst, Brooklyn, NY
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, cocoa and hint of cooked vegetables. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, caramel and cocoa. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

mcberko (9349) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015
22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out booze, oats and cocoa. Flavour is pretty simple, with cocoa, oats and loads of booze. Very simple. No where near as good as regular Berserker. Okay.

22oz bottle pours out black with red highlights topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts chocolate coffee and some sweetness. Taste is more of the sweetness roast malts chocolate coffee.

AirForceHops (4530) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 19, 2015
650ml bottle thanks going to SHIG on this one. Nice appearance, thin lasting head around the snifter. Aroma is moderate roast, dark chocolate, molasses and toffee.

Mouthfeel is nice and full for a stout under 7%. Ashy / dry and chalky texture. Flavor is spot on the aroma and feels bigger than the gravity. Very nice drinking.

Bomber shared by AirForceHops, big thanks! Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee grounds. nice full mouth feel for a 6.8 stout, plenty of flavor too.. Dark chocolate, almond, coffee, toffee. Really nice. Canít wait to try Berzerker!

Toasty, roasty, slight cinnamon and earthy tobacco, with a dry ashy finish. As expected the mouthfeel is clearly thinner than Daddy-O. The molasses notes are also much more muted. The hops make this come off much like a Black DIPA on the palate. Still it is cool to try a commercial brewery handling of second runnings which you just donít see much of. Alas it is a one and done, sorry kiddo

22oz bomber from SHIG, thanks man. Poured a slick dark black with an a aaverage smaller dark beige head. Aroma is sweet syrupy dark chocolate, nut shell, dough, dark fruit skins, alcohol and slight anise. Flavor is pretty much the same but no alcohol or dough and more roastines and burnt toast. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation and an average duration on the aftertaste Good stuff.

Draft at Uber for the Midnight Sun cigar pairing event. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head of mousse that settles to nice creamy suds. Big roasty nose, lots of dark chocolate, almost a peppery rye note, toasty crusts of black bread. Creamy thick heavy body. In no way does this begin to suggest a small beer or second runnings at all. Itís a big bad glass of suds all on its own. Lots of dark chocolate, toasty black bread crusts, and an even more pronounced rye-like note on the mid palate. Complex and interesting. Long earthy toasty finish. Worth many repeats.
