Draft @ Fools Gold, New York. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty licorice and dark fruit aroma. Roasted malty caramel, chocolate and weak licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty licorice and dark fruit finish.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out booze, oats and cocoa. Flavour is pretty simple, with cocoa, oats and loads of booze. Very simple. No where near as good as regular Berserker. Okay.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma seems chocolate and dark treacle. Med + body. Flavor is some chocolate and some dark malt that might have treacle (or dark fruit with something sweet?) Really tasty.

Flavor is bitter dark chocolate, roast malt, earthy hops and medium bitterness, prunes and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

[2/15/15] Draught at City Beer in San Francisco. As Midnight Sun Son Of A Berserker. Black with a brown head. Aroma of roast and coffee. Bittersweet roasty flavor with coffee and some dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2016 OK stout, recent bottle from Decicco’s. Drinkable and black coloured, mild roast. Mostly I drainpoured as just OK and not complex. Had this again a half year later, and very malty drinkable. Rerated up.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, cocoa and hint of cooked vegetables. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, caramel and cocoa. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
