COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Intriguing doses of sweet spices, cocoa nibs and pumpkin transform an exceptional porter into a mesmerizing potion. Pour this tantalizing brew into a snifter and experience its many eccentric nuances, which will delight your taste buds.

This is the same award-winning recipe that garnered a GOLD MEDAL at GABF in 2007. Formerly known simply as Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter, we’ve named it T.R.E.A.T.: The Royal Eccentric Ale Treatment.

TREAT melds rich decadent flavors into an enticing brew that is perfect for pairing with both sweet and savory dishes. Add depth to desserts like pumpkin cheesecake, bread pudding and tiramisu. Reduce this porter down then glaze grilled meats. Mix Moroccan spices with TREAT to marinate lamb shanks before slow-roasting. The options are endless. But the most important step is pouring yourself a lovely glass of TREAT to enjoy with the rewarding results of your efforts.

With so many tones and textures to experience, will you find this brew… Demented…or delightful?

Bottle opened on NYE with the wife since we have a 2 year old and thus don’t go out on this lame ass holiday. Pours a jet black with soapy khaki head. Aroma is pumpkin forward, slight cinnamon and slight burnt coffee. Taste is very pumpkin and chocolate with some light burnt smoke flavors in there. I wish I liked coffee. The pumpkin really plays well here. Liking it more and more as it warms. Wow. Might up the rating before I finish this off.....or....

Nice, light brown head. Mostly clear dark brown color. Decent lace. Aroma is very veggie-like, not as rich, roasty, or sweet as I expected. Satisfying pumpkin aroma, though. Good, light carbonation. Dry finish. Light smokiness. Bitter taste, light sweet. Not what I expected

Bottle to flute. Pumpkin, nutmeg, malt. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Taste is pumpkiny, almost cloyingly sweet and malty.

The label says it all on this one. All ingredients are apparent and well balanced. It's just yummy. One of my most preferred pumpkins. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Definitely a different take on the pumpkin ale craze by going way of stout. The chocolate and the stout profile flavors took over and I only got glimpses of the pumpkin flavoring/spice additives.

Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Armin. Thanks man! Pour is pitch black with a creamy tan head and good lacing. Big sweet potatoes, cinnamon, nutmeg, light cocoa, oak, and a touch of vanilla in the aroma. Taste is spice, nutmeg, pumpkin pie, cinnamon, dark chocolate, graham crackers, marshmallows, and oak with a lightly spicy finish. Creamy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Nice pumpkin beer.
