Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jan 27, 2008 Draft glass at Cafe Amsterdam. Light orange with clumpy foam topping it off. The aroma is starkly orange-citrus. To the palate, this is a party in the mouth of tart citric bite with a solid but mild pull of a gigantic malt foundation. This, in short, rocks! (#3302, 1/20/2008) axilla (942), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 3, 2007 Thanks again Tom! Poured a hazy amber gold color with a big white fluff. Aroma is big grapefruit, pine, earthy funk, and mild dough. Flavors are big hops the whole way through. Lots of pine, orange peel, grapefruit, and earthy belgian yeast. This may have been my favorite of the night. SoLan (1182), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Courtesy beerlando. Hazy orange topped by a large white head. Aroma of huge floral, spicy, grassy, resinous hops, estery and earthy yeast, and some malt sweetness. Same flavor. Pleasantly dry finish keeps it drinkable. Full/medium body, balanced carbonation. Excellent brew. TomDecapolis (2389), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 11, 2007 Pours a translucent golden amber with a large bubbly/foamy/rock off white lacing head. Aroma of fresh hops, mixed citrus, grapefruit, floral notes, some pine, Belgian yeast esters, tropical fruits, some grassy notes, bread, candy sweetness a touch of honey and some spicy/earthy notes and light alcohol. Flavors was earthy, pine, grapefruit, some banana and clove, other spices, Belgian yeast, hops, hop bitterness is there yet smooth. On the dry side and very hoppy in both aroma and flavor. This does get more complex as it airs out and you spend more time with it. Try this one young while the hops are still fresh and take your time with it to soak in the complexity of flavors. egajdzis (2947), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 29, 2007 Poured a lightly hazy, amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, light citrus, coriander, spicy cardamom, and a bit of yeast. Taste of pine, caramel malts, citrus fruits, grapefruit, with a simcoe / spicy combo, and enough malt to round the whole thing out.
