The head is ok, the body red-orange. It smells citrus, malty, a bit roasty, full bodied. The taste is intensive citrus, hoppy, a bit roasty, malty. OK 11/10/10/10/12/11

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and dusty malty aroma with a touch of honey. Taste is grainy, minimally sweet pale malty, hints of toasted malt, an unspecific tart fruity touch, minimally grassy, herbal hoppy overtones. Not bad, balanced in a way, flavours under tension contrariwise.

500ml bottle. Hazy pale pumpkin orange with a creamy off white head. Doughy malt, orange zest, some semi fermented fruit, caramel, faint hops. High carbonation, moderate body, sweet with some fruit, malt, still the orange zest but a bit candied, becomes dry, more bitter and definite alcohol. Not sure that everything works together but it’s interesting.

A very rough hazy darkish amber ESB pouring with a towery, dense white head announcing high carbonation that becomes perhaps too concrete in mouth where the high bubbliness accentuates the considerable hoppiness. If malts start out nice, very English in character and with an interesting toasty, nutty, almost earthy side, they are quickly taken back by the bubbles and hops, the latter feeling grassy, orangey, woodsy, spicey and roughly leafy, à la sandpaper bitterness in the finish. Fairly dry palate despite the strong malt presence. Perhaps surprisingly, the alcohol is very warming, giving the impression that the beer is 7%+. That does not help with drinkability that was already a little difficult. It is too bad because all the ingredients seem pleasant taken one apart from the other, but the dosage of each seems to provoke a bit of chaos on the tongue.

500ml bottle, hazy copper hue, with a frothy bubbly beige head, yeasty, grainy bread, toasted, caramel malt, bread crust nose, with some light floral earthy tobacco leaf, grassy, citrus hop notes, and some toffee, caramel, nutty accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, bready, toasted, caramel, maltiness, flowery soapy, leafy, grassy hoppy character, with some toffee, french toast flavours, and a faint grape bubblegum fruitness undertone, leading towards a yeasty, dough breadiness, leafy citrus hop bittering finish

Btl. at DØE: little head, dark pale copper. Nose with roasted grains, dry. Medium body and length. Taste is caramel, sweet grains - a bit simple, but very pleasant.
