COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Amber, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sugary sweet aroma, caramel and some fruitiness. Body is medium to full, malty and sugary sweet flavor, caramel and some fruitiness, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sugary sweet, caramel and light fruitiness, light alcohol. Way too sweet BW - lacks character. Really nothing but sugary sweetness.

Pours hazy dark amber with thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, light citrus and hops. Very sweet-ish. Taste echoes that, very sweet, toffee and butterscotch like character. Finish is abrupt but sweet and light boozy, although the alcohol is controlled very well throughout. Body is medium creamy with flat carbonation.

Bottle - 500ml. Pours a cloudy amber/caramel body with a thin off-white creamy head. Sharp hoppy taste with citrusy, vanilla, and some woody hints. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. Its hoppy taste carries fruity, yeasty, and caramel notes. Texture is soft and finish is vineous, warming. Very enjoyable.

0.5l bottle. Pours a deep hazy chestnut-brown body with a fading beige and creamy head. Aroma is nice caramel, dark ripe fruits, roasted dates, strawberries, light grassy, pecan nuts and a hint of alcohol and yeast. Really full-bodied, average to softly carbonated and has a chewy and thick texture. You can quite feel the alcohol, and it’s really caramel-sweet. Ends with a lingering alco finish, slight stingy, and has a quite sweet aftertaste with dark malty/burned caramel. I don’t particular like it when the barlywines gets too sweet, and this one unfortunately is a tad to sweet for my liking. Noticed that this bottle has braille on the label. Nice little touch there from Midtfyns, but that does not save this from being an average barlywine.
