Bottled. A cloudy deep red beer with a lazing red-brown head. The aroma has strong notes of over ripe fruits and alcohol, as well as medium notes of malt and wood. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, and malt, as well as medium notes of caramel and wood, leading to a sweet and smooth finish. The alcohol tickles and warms the palate.

Big bottle. Amber colored beer, almost no head. Sweet aroma of raisin and booze. Nice smooth taste of vanilla and raisin, with an undertone of caramelised malt. Boozy aftertaste. Body is a bit thin.

CBF09. 50 cL bottle. Pours golden deep amber with a fully gone head. Sweet caramel and barley flavoured with a nice hops counter balance. Light bitterness to a slight too sweet malt base into the finish. Good ageing potential, still too young and sweet.

hazy amber, smooth light yellow head. hoppy spicy barley wine aroma, a little bit too much old beer aroma, but that’s just me not very fond of old beer style barley wine’s in general. Flavor is old beer (faint), sweetness (hay or sugarish), caramel, candy. raisins, nice warming barley wine, however a toffee like bitterness is a bit of a distractor from the otherwise nice flavor profile.

Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and alcoholic finish. Not as sweet and alcoholic as many other barley wines. 181010
