3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Old rating. Pours hazy orange, with a small creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts with caramel, as well as some light yeasty notes and maybe some light butterscotch. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet malts, with toffee, as well as good notes of pepper and chili. Sweet malts and some notes of diacetyl in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy, amber, with a rough white ring.
Apple, orange, yeast, light chile powder aroma.
Flavour is sweet....pear, stone fruit....a very gradual build-up of chile.
Sugary sweet.....barely any heat...
Tasty.....the combination works pretty well, actually....probably because it’s done with a light hand....
Pretty good, overall.....just don’t expect any fire out of this one.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 mL bottle. Pours clear, reddish-amber with a white head that fades. Apple, candi sugar, lemon drop and mild yeasty phenols. Dry and crisp with a fruity sweetness on the front and plenty of red chili on the back. Moderate body and carbonation. While I enjoy a well made chili stout, it ruins a tripel for me...

From LCBO. Nice aroma of raspberries, smells tart. Hint of chili in taste, with some sweetness. Pretty good. Chili takes a bit to kick in, lips are tingling after a fee sips.

Dette er absolut en øl af højeste kvalitet, den hænger utroligt godt sammen i smagen trods chilien. Chilien er nøje afstemt. En fantastisk øl

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
From bottle pours cloudy dark gold colour with almost no head. Aroma has some subtle fruit. Taste is a bit different. There is a bit of the spicy chili in there but I don’t think I like its mix with the Belgian triple fruity and sweet tastes.

Wow the scores are all over the place for this one, ranging from angry "where’s-the-chili?" low scores to confusing "not-that-good-but-I-will-over-rate-it-high anyway" high scores (see below me for e.g.). Lets deconstruct this mess. Starts off poorly, with an ugly pour. Flavour profile is rock candy sugar, stone fruit & a hint of pepper. The finish is where the heat emerges. I don’t know. It’s okay, but nothing I’d recommend nor would I buy it again. It just doesn’t add up.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2015 Pours a rich golden orange colour with almost no head. Sweet floral nose, banana and yeast. When chilled taste was predominantly tropical fruit and next to no chili. Once sat to warm flavour mellows, opening into stone fruit, light caramel and subtle citrus . Sweet and peppery start translates to a pleasantly long chili finish. Not true to a Tripel style but passable as a fruit/spiced beer.
