Looks like old engine oil. Black with a hint of brown, and very thick. Lots of chocolate coloured head. Scent of chocolate milk and coffee. Taste of red wine, alcohol, some coffee and some chocolate. Very bitter! Not my favourite.

Black with dark brown head - aroma of some roasted malt, chocolate and coffee - taste is again of coffe and chocolate along with some roast - long lingering malt finish - this was very good

Lovely aroma and taste of classic Porter-flavorings; dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and licorice. The taste is round and soft with hints of smoke and fruit. A wonderfully well made Porter!

Bottle, 8.0%. Fruity, peppery aroma, hint of vanilla and smoke. Black colour. Small dark brown head. The flavour starts off with a rather heavy barley bitterness and some hop bitterness as well. A little sweetness as well, but does not blance off the roasted and bitter notes. There seems to be a bit of smoke in the flavour as well, especially in the finish, and a weak aroma hop note also.

Courtesy of stobbe74. Half liter bottle pours mahogany with weak mocha head. The aroma has spicy black licorice, black strap molasses, chocolate cake and some toffee. Smells of yum. The taste is similar with lots of spicy black licorice mixing with black strap molasses, highly roasted malts, burnt malts and yummy dark chocolate. Wow. Good stuff that ends roasty, chocolaty and with plenty of spicy and near earthy hops.

500 ml bottle. Black body with a perfect tan head. Lovely aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar and hops. Flavor is smooth roasted malt, bitterhops, chocolate, coffee, liquorices and hint of alcohol. Full body. A very pleasant and well balanced porter with a really long aftertaste of roasted malt and liqurices.

Black beer with very brown foam. Almost looks like chocolate icecream. Smells roasty, malty and like iron. Taste is alcohol + iron.
