Aroma: bold and hefty. Dar molasses with deep vinous feel, slight peppery hints, barrel feel on alcohol warmth. Blend of dark chocolate with coffee. Hops on finish.7+
Apperance: this dark brown, clear brew with larger espresso thick creamy cap. Great lace with ring on glass. Handsome big porter with old school class.4+
Taste/Palate etc. this is as thick as can go. Oily, syrupy with soft mild carbonation. Ash, dry roasted coffee with dark bitter feel behind. This is heavy stuff. Front tad sweet but mellow dark bitterness soon takes over. Very nice.

Black pour, dark cocoa head. Aroma is touches of alcohol, some big roasted malts, sweet cocoa, and some light smoke. The body is crisp, and light, the mouth feel is creamy. The finish, isnt too thick, or over powering. Light to medium bitterness, some solid sweet cocoa, and the smoke really comes through. Very drinkable for 8%. Great stuff!

Jet black colour with a brown head that lasts long enough. Huge aroma of roast, muffins and yeast with a hint of banana. On the palate it is rich, filled with flavour and doesn’t let up. Chocolate, pudding and some roast. Very good stuff!

[Bottle (500ml).] Pours a beautiful-looking black with a large frothy light-brown head and some lacing on the glass -- kind of looks like an ice cream float. Nice aroma of roasted malt, lots of green leafy hops, dark fruit and some chocolate. Flavour is surprisingly hoppy along with roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee and chocolate. Medium bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. This may be too hoppy for the style, either way it’s very good.

It pours opaque black with mahogany tints on the edge; the head is mocha and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: chocolate, coffee, raisins, pumpernickel, and sweet malts. The taste is medium sweet/umamai that finishes medium bitter; there are notes of: the aforementioned aroma notes, slight alcohol, soy-sauce, and charcoal. The palate is full-bodied, has low carbonation, is thick and oily, and has a long finish. Overall, despite it’s simplicity it is very flavourful.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a huge dark brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with light coffee undertones. Taste is also dominated by some lightly sweet black chocolates notes, with light coffee and dry roasted malt notes. Body has a nice creamy texture with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed but though it was slightly lacking in character.

500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an inky black with average-sized, creamy brown head. Aroma is dark and rich with notes of molasses, dark fruit and leather. Flavour is huge on the dark dried fruit with lots of raisin, prune and fig, some treacle, a little leathery character and hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Drying finish. Oily mouthfeel. Very impressive.

Deep dark pour....you can smell the beer going into the glass. Taste of chocolate, coffee with a fruity finish. The finish lingers on and on. Its a really nice porter!!
