Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2010, Brouwerij de Molen, Overtocht 43, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt, strong coffee, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100924]

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty and coffee. Toffee and dark caramelish. Bitter, herbal, roasted, liqourice and dark malty flavoured. Mild acidic. Lingering dark malty into a dry and roasted finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a collapsing dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and alcohol, as well as lighter notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, tar, and smoke, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle at Borefts Bier Festival 2010. Pitch black coloured with a medium sized beige ehad. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dried fruits and liquorice powder with notes of chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of liquorice, dried fruits and dark chocolate with notes of dried fruits. Roasted finish of chocolate.

Bottled@SBWF2010. Deep ruby brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some toffee, mild ashes, roasted malts, some smoked wet wood as well as some liquorice. Flavour is being qquite much the same, but the liquorice is being much more evident.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Very blck, creamy beige head. Aroma of tobacco and licorice. Fairly dry and earthy, near full bodied. Soft and pleasant with big yet never brash flavours. Excellent strong porter!

Opaque black beer, small chocolate coloured head. Softish semi dry palate. Lots of dark malt but not bitter or roasty. Minerals and aniseed underneath. On top is mellow dark chocolate and coffee. Dark malt tang rides alongside. Not bad.

at De Molen Festival 2010 ... deep black ... thin lacing ... sweet toffeee roast ... little coffee ... little woddy toffee nose .. sweet rich .. toffeee ... roast malts ... solid body .. very tasty
