English: The Double IPA is an American inspired, dark amber beer with a beautiful light coloured head. The brewer has chosen to dry hop this IPA which adds to the full and complex hop profile of Cascade, Chinook and Centennial. The IPA has a very full body, with a soft yet strong flavour and a very bitter finish - the result has to be experienced. Goes with spicy dishes, but is best enjoyed on its own.

Cheesey aroma, milky mid-palate, but mostly pine heavy with something odd/interesting. Better as it warms; smooth, low bitterness (well balanced). (on tap at De Molen)

Deep brownish orange pour, medium off white head. Aroma strong of hops, earthy and piney with wood and spices. Flavour is quite bitter and full of hops some malty sweetness. Thick and creamy palate. Very nice beer.

Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010 - Amber in colour. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit and biscuity malt. Hoppy and bitter taste with grapefruit and peach.

Tasted 2010-06-08. Pours semi hazy, orange/brown with beige head. Aroma: Sweet, with pineapples, toffee, alcohol and lotsa hops. Powerful, but pleasant, bitterness in the taste. Well balanced. Nice sweetness. Explosive taste. A very good, big beer.

Murky amber/orange with a tanned creamy film that dissapates. Prunes and alcohol on the nose (like a barley wine). Resin bitterness, sweetness and alcohol. Long finish. More of the same. Full bodied and syrupy. Soft carbonation. Heavy stuff.

Deep amber body with small and quickly vanishing head. Then again, can’t expect a lively palate on a double IPA like this. Beautiful, deep amber color. Deep also are the hop tones my nose is getting; half grassy, half fruity, all hops. Compact. First sip gives away a small, boozy warmth at first. Then, it slowly slides into a nice cough syrup-like mix of wild strawberries, cherry, vanilla and toffee. Slightly bitter finish, but not too much. Complex and well-blended, this is a beer which calls upon retrospective on my behalf: I drank this half a year ago and had trouble finishing it; the hop bitterness was to harsh to handle. And so, I dismissed this rather well-crafted brew, only returning the the hoppy world of the IPA many months later. Now, however, after vigorous taste bud training, I seem to have overcome this obstacle to accessing the real taste. Which Midtfyn Bryghus Double IPA has a lot of. I must have come a long way, then. :-)

Pours a golden amber color. Aromas of floral hops, some sweetness, and a touch of fruit. Flavors of hops, pine and citrus. Light body with a bittersweet finish and long aftertaste.

Dark orange, big head. Sturdy smell of hops and caramel. The flavor is like bitter treacle, ok to drink slowly on its own. Doesn’t go very well with any food. Alcohol is too apparant. Buttery finish.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear orange color with a thick, foamy off-white head. Hoppy aroma of pine and somehow a bit of buttery cake. Bitter flavor, fruity, hoppy and again buttery. Very oily, almost fatty texture. Quite nice but a bit too oily.

Bottle from phueneke. Pours a heavy, dark amber. Nose is sweet malts, meek slightly citrusy/grassy hops. Bottle could have been old (not sure), but the hops were not to the forefront. Underattenuated, mild flavor/aroma hops, a bit of bitterness at the finish, boozy. Heavy.
