English: The Double IPA is an American inspired, dark amber beer with a beautiful light coloured head. The brewer has chosen to dry hop this IPA which adds to the full and complex hop profile of Cascade, Chinook and Centennial. The IPA has a very full body, with a soft yet strong flavour and a very bitter finish - the result has to be experienced. Goes with spicy dishes, but is best enjoyed on its own.

Bottle 50cl, bought in Ebeltoft. Powerful. The bitterness in the aftertaste may be a bit overwhelming, but I like it.

(Bottle) Pours reddish amber. The aroma is of floral, grapefruity, mild resiny and earthy hops alongside a toasted, caramel malt backbone. The flavour is of grapefruity/floral hops and caramelly malt. Medium sweet and medium bitter. The mouthfeel is soft and dry. Medium bodied.

500 ml bottle. Hazy amber/orange body with a nice, dense beige head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, citrus/grapefruit. Flavor of sweet malt and fruity floral hops, citrus and a definitive bitterness. Quite straight forward, but well made and balanced. I like it a lot.

Bottled @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2008. Amber coloured with a medium sized head. quite well balanced with notes of malt, pines, caramel and citrus - but too mild.

500 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). ABV is 9.2%. Copper coloured beer, decent off-white head. Strong and very nice aroma of fruity American hops, some hints of spices of too. The flavour is first malty and slightly sugary sweet with notes of caramel, then an intense harsh and overwhelming bitterness takes over. Overkill, too bitter and harsh for me.

Bottled@RBESG 2008 Grand Tasting
Dark nut brown color, small off-white head. Bready-hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty, kind of grassy hopping. Some cardboard, otherwise solid double IPA. Easy, not too difficult IIPA.
