Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Amber colour. Malty character with some caramel and toffee, but lacks a fresh hoppy "bite", which is a bit surprising, as Styrian Goldings and Pilgrim ought to contribute to a "fresh" character. Too much crystal malts, not enough hops, perhaps?

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Bärnstensfärgad öl med stort gräddigt skum, där smörkola, fruktighet och en viss surhet når näsan. Smörkola, rabarber och vanilj i smaken. Alkoholen tränger igenom i eftersmaken.

Dark orange colour, disappearing head. Aroma has fruits, sweetish malt and hints of vegetables. Aroma has sweetish malt, some vanilla, hints of cream and hops. Adding the yeast makes the flavour more round and worse. Drinkable.

Medium beige head. Reddish amber body with light carbonation. Mealy wooden lacquer aroma with earthy toffee notes. Dry-sweet (and faintly acidic) wooden lacquer and wild berry taste with earthy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with some fizz. Dryish wooden toffee aftertaste with lacquer, spice, and earth notes. It’s not bad, but a bit low on flavour. Lacks some character. (0.5l bottle, Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

17-JUN.2011, bottle @Erik. Hazy brownish with lasting beige head. Lovely - looks like a barley wine. Nose is lie a barley wine as well. Lovely sweet charamelly and bready nose. Taste is the same, but turns a bit thin and watery, but overall nice.

Copenhagen beer festival. Big thanks to Eddie for the freebie on production of my Arsenal membership card! Clear brown beer, rich and malty. Soft palate. Hides the alcohol dangerously well. Some fruit in the finish.
