bottle, smells real good (chocolate dominated, but nice), looks great, tastes like cigarette butts filtered stout, with some chili thrown in. palate a little below average. Overall not one i’m going to try again.
I like laphoriagh, and this reminds me of laph. might grow on you.
Trying a new glass after 5 min. This time around much better, still not good though.

Aroma of dark choclate,raisins,coffee. Flavor was a mix of coffee, dark choclate ,raisins, Medium body, and a long fruity/Chcolate/Coffee alcy fnish! Werry nice!

Jul 21, 2008 50 cl bottle at Carlsens Kvarter, Odense. Black color, big brown head. Aroma is lovely roasted/burnt malt, with a lot of sweetness. Flavor is all you wany in an IS: Coffee, chocolate, hints of liqorice, hops and a fine bitter and sweet finish. A really lovely beer.

Dark nut brown color, small steady tan head. Coffeish, licoricey, a bit milky aroma. Coffeish, roasted flavor. Quite sweet stout with good malty backbone. Sweetness is just a bit too much and drops a point or two.

Jul 13, 2008 Tap at Århus Ølfestival 2008. Pours a nice black with a big brownish head. Great aroma of roasted malt, oak and chocolate. Flavour is wonderful with chocolate, vanilla and some viniousness with a nice round and soft mouthfeel.
