500ml bottle kindly shared by Rune@Post Holiday Rating session 3.Jan.2012. Thanks!! Amber slightly body with huge diminishing frothy head. Aroma: raisins, rum, saffron buns, coriander and hint of tangerines. Gives you the warm fuzzy Christmas feeling. Taste: bun dough, sage, marmalade, cardamom and orange peel. Makes me happy, warm and well. It just gets better and better! Pure pleasure...

Appearance: Hazy brownish color with a off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet and spicy.
Palate: Medium body. A bit sweet and a light bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Surprisingly mild sweetness. Fruity, spicy and some vanilla.
Overall impression: Tasty beer, but a bit to flat.

Bottle (50cl). Slightly hazy amber colour. Inch-thick offwhite head that sticks to the side of the glass, leaving some lacing. Sweet and spicy aroma with yeast, cookies, caramel, coriander, bitter orange marmalade. Medium body, soft carbonation, refreshing mouthfeel. Taste is predominantly bitter and spicy, balanced by a mild sweetness. Finish is dry with orange peel and some cardboard associations. Despite the dryness the beer still has a decent xmas factor, thanks to the spices.

The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was quite large and white. Aroma was spicy and malty. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, malts, citricness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter.

Shared bottle at Christmas beer tasting 15.12.12 Hazy golden color. aroma is dominated by cardamom and give associations to sweet buns. tastes spicy from cardamom and coriander, there is some hops here as well, hint of chicken soup.

Slightly hazy, medium amber body with a small, off-white head that laces the glass somewhat. Strong, sweet and fruity aroma with notes of overripe orange and spices, also pine and prunes in the back. Complex and pleasant aroma that is crisp and refreshing but at the same time sweet, but the sweetness is not that caramel sweetness that very often can be found in christmas beers. Moderate sweet and very light citric acidic taste, the finish is moderate bitter. The flavours are the same delicious blend of refreshing citrus and spices as in the aroma. Very pleasant mouthfeel, medium plus body, smooth and oily texture, soft carbonation, light dry finish. One of the best christmas beers I’ve had this christmas!

06.12.2012. 0,5l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Leirvik. Dark golden colour with white head. Aroma of malt with heavy notes og spices and hops. There is also sweetness. The spises are very heavy. Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch, clove and orange peel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Nice creamy head. Amber color and smells off cardamom and coriander. Medium thick body with sweet taste off the spices. Some might say its å bitt too sweet, but it goes down nicely og you pair it with some fatt food like duck. Remember kids, not all Beer should be on its own!
