Bottle. High and creamy long lasting light brown body. Only through light you can see the red of ghe beer, otherwise you would have judged it as black. Cocoa is the first impression, grass, hay and cocoa second impressions of the aroma. Sweet flavor cocoa caramel flaovr with little bitteerness. Low carbonation, long sweet aftertaste. Spices ? Renewal ? No way. OK beer but no surprise.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl bottle. Almost black beer with a big brownish head. Powerful roasted beer with lots of chocolate and anis/licorice. Sweet but not cloying due to a dry, somewhat bitter finish. Quite interesting.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. A dark brown beer with a red shine - not really looking like a stout, under a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate - which is very dominant at first, but when it warms up notes of star anise joins in. The flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of chocolate, but also with quite strong notes of roasted malt as well as spices in the back ground towards the finish - among them star anise. The finish is dry and very roasted with hints of alcohol. More like a Porter than a stout.
