Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 27, 2007 Draft. A very hazy amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet citrusy combined with notes of grapefruit - my guess is some Cascade, but it also has hints of acidity. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of straw and grass, as well as light notes of butter and acidity, leading to a dry bitter and grassy end. The body is thin - I think due to a very low level of residual sugar. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, dark amber golden with a beige head. Citric hop aroma. Medium body with sweetish fruit notes and some caramel. The citric aroma hops also leave quite some bitterness. Not entirely clean. 290407 yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 15, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy brown with an orange hue and lacing white head. Aroma is solid hoppy, pine and spiced, and with distinct caramel malt base. Flavour starts sweet and soon goes into a distinct hoppy spice note. Has solid caramel malt body.
