COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Easter beer is a general description of Danish seasonal beers as other countries do not really use. Therefore, beer-type brewed by different brewmaster’s will, and is still called an Easter brew. There is no clear formula for how an Easter brew to be brewed, in addition to the reverse of the story was tradition to brew bocks for Easter. Brewmaster at Midtfyns Brewery, Eddie Szweda have American roots so therefore he decided to brew an US-Pale Ale and call it Easter brew. There is nothing wrong, for it is his contribution to a beer that can match the Danish Easter tradition. It’s a nice frothy ale where the foam after some time accumulates to fine foamy islands. The aroma is classic for an American pale ale, namely rich fruity aroma where one recognizes pine needles, apricot and indefinable soft fruit. The taste varies of good sweet malt notes and fresh grains, but rather quickly comes hops on stage and contributes apricot, thyme and possibly a little coriander. A little bit anise I also think that I could sense, but I’m not quite sure. It is certainly a typical and very tasty pale ale, brewed as only Americans can do it. The balance between American pale ale and what the Danes call IPA is many times difficult, but here is the boundary very clear. Carbonation is weak and it gives a much greater taste experience where the good American hops get quality and can please with the fruity touch. The bitterness is semi-dry / dry and keeps a long aftertaste. As Easter brew probably many will find it wrong, but I love the good moderate hop and think this is a clear favorite among beers.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is sweet fruity and malty, some citrus notes of orange and lemon, lots of grassy and herbal hoppy nuances, caramel, pine needles, decent.

Let uden at blive vandet.
