Smooth sweet bready main aroma, alas there’s some glue, a little bit acetoney. Later there’s some almond too. Alas the hints of glue never subside completely. Looks gorgeous in the whisky tulip, lovely tight beige head, huge and persistent, over a thick, almost viscous, dark dak brown body. Luscious in the mouth, smooth and silky. perhaps a bit sweet, and almost sickly in places (acetone talking ?). Finish has the roast, rich and toasty, gently spiced. Do I get a clove numbness? Lovely to sip, great last beer of the evening. Doesn’t pip Beer Here Nordic Rye for top beer of the day, but this is certainly the best last beer of the lot. We took nearly 50min to sip this, and liked every sip.

Bottle. Pours a dark and cloudy brown with a big creamy khaki head. Decent lacing. Sour and sweet, liquorice and cloves aroma. Bit of chocolate in the background. Cloying. Flavour is tart, fat and sweet with sweet liquorice and cloves here as well. Still cloying. Malty finish with an alcoholic burn. Lingering liquorice and apple notes with a tartness. Dont’ really know what to make of this; it’s not a bad beer per se, but it’s a wee bit unbalanced, and too cloying for my liking; I’m not really into cloves. 16.06.12.

The flomboyant american Eddie Szweda has brought Midtfyns Bryghus from nothing to one of the best danish breweries. With will and a big smile he charms the danish beer enthusiasts. This beer is awarded "Best danish new beer 2010". Unfortunately the beer became illegal because of the snuff.

Sweet dry fruit aroma. Deep brown with a thin off-white head. Interesting...cant put my finger on the tones...probably the snuff and sea weed? Dry fuits on a sweet dark belgian ale.

Bottle at Håndverkerstuene. Dark brown, tan head. Spicy licorice and molasses, some fruity flavours. A Danish version of Pannepot. A bit sweet, but still very enjoyable as a dessert beer.

Fruity aroma and taste with hints of licorice. The taste which is smooth also includes nuances of sea water, seaweed, sweets, spices and tobacco. The beer has a clearly special taste and I like it a lot!

Bottle 500ml courtesy of meilby. Pours dark brown with a beige creamy head. Aroma is licorice and a bit diacetyl. Taste is salty, light sweet and light bitter. Full body, oily, average carbonation. 20110421

Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, spices, and seaweed. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and spices, as well as lighter notes of seaweed and candysugar, leading to a dry, spicy, and tobacco finish. The body is powerful. A whole bottle on my own is a bit much.
