COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Strong coffee aroma. Chocolate, licorice and roasty too. Not as much licorice than the first edition with snuff. Dark, but clear. Medium sweetness and light bitterness - not as powerful as the first edition. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a long finish. I have tasted this parallel with the original version, and this number 2 is not as powerful and tasty. But still a good beer by Midtfyns Bryghus!

Dark red - amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Thin creamy malts. Something like sweet cappuccino in the background. A cooling mellow medicinal vibe. Sweet semi dry finish. Interesting snuff! Geddit? I’ll get me coat!

StoutHead (941) - DENMARK - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle. Pours a deep red - almost black colour with a small short lived tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, licorice and caramel. Taste is of roasted malt, licorice, dark sugar, bread, dark fruits, coffee, earth and alcohol. Medium body and low carbonation. Starts out sweet but is soon dominated by a bitter and harsh finish that includes licorice and alcohol. Very Belgian in style but unbalanced and probably not one I’ll have again.

BBD: Mindst holdbar til 14-11-2015.
In short: spicy dark belgian ale.
Pours quite dark mahogany with nice tan head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Roasty, spicy, berries, sweet aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is the one of a classic belgian ale, sweet, liquorice, some roasty, with some weird berries and spicy notes. Peculiar and enjoyable.
