Bottle at Haandverkerstuene.
Hazy golden, almost no head at all which is very disappointing for a wit. Lightly sweet aroma with hints of spices. Malty taste with some yeast and orange.
Normally I’m a big fan of Midtfyns, this one didn’t impress at all.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 espenra (764) - Kurland, NORWAY - JUN 17, 2011
50cl bottle at Håndverkerstuene. Best before 2011-07-01. Hazy light orange colour with a small head. Aroma is sweet and alluring. Lots of floral notes as well as coriander, wheat and oranges. Flavour is thin and watery at first, but grows after the first impression. Mostly wheat at first, but coriander and oranges announce their presence. Some bananas as well I think. The black pepper announced on the bottle is nowhere to be found, although it itsn’t highly missed. A nice session ale for the warm summer days, but a bit boring in the long run.
