Bottle. Dark black color with a average fair lacing light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hoppy, vanilla, licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet, light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Very good and complex. Body is medium, texture is oliy, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Light brown coloured. Vanilla, light coffee, chocolate in the aroma. Flavour has some sweetness, light roast, light alcohol, some liqourice and some light floral notes. Quite complex, but not tje full power on the flavour as I like it. Would be quite suuitable as a session beer, had the ABV been a bit lower. Is quite balanced. Is dry and roasty in the end. Absolute drinkable stout.

BeerBiker (1412) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2007
[Tasted at Porter-/Stouteve at Carlsens.] Nice good new beer from Eddie. Smooth and sticky licorice are the main notes for this stout which also contains the usual details of black look, offwhite head, coffeechocs and some spice. Medium body and a nice aftertaste.

Bottle. Totally pitch black colour with an big creamy long lasting light brown head leaving nice "tracks" on the side of the glass. Bit sour and bitter aroma with chocolate, coffee, raisins and well roasted malts. Smooth, creamy, smoky flavour with a good chocolate, raisins, bitter hops, caramel. Very much THE best beer from this brewery. Nice label too. Reminds me a bit of a Wiibroe Stout.

50 cl bottle - my first beer from Midtfyns Bryghus. Very nice stout with notes of cocoa, chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Pleasantly bitter finish. Head and palate was a bit disappointing (too low carbonation for me) but otherwise a fine stout!

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a very dark, opaque black with a vague, reddish hue and a dense, beige head leaving some laces. Lightly sweet yet ashy aroma. Quite full-bodied with sweetish, roasted notes - pehaps with a vaguely burned edge. Some bitterness in the finish. 151206
