Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 7, 2006 An unclear amber beer with a huge bubbly light orange head. The aroma is weird with dusty notes combined with over ripe fruits and some spices - only faint hints of wheat. The flavor is sweet bubble gum like fruity note combined with a very strong presence of spices. The end is dry and here there is a slight note of wheat. This is not a German Hefeweizen - since the back label states that honey, raspberries, and lime has been added - I think that is what makes it so bubble gum - candy like. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden May 21, 2007 Updated: Jul 5, 2007Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Cloudy amber. Aroma of raspberries and wheat based "knäckebröd". Sweet, fruity and medium bodied. Some strange esters and graepfruit. Lightly metallic finish. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, dark amber with an almost nonexisting head. Rustic, malty nose - sort of bon-bon like sweetish malty. Rather fruity but not in a typical Hefe way. Very drinkable though. 270706 joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 7, 2007 Bottle.
Cloudy amber coloured with a white head.
Sweet aroma of fruits and caramel.
Flavour of malts, caramel, grain, bananas and hops. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 28, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense off-white head. Aroma is raspberry and lemon with a very minor wheat note. Flavour starts a bit sweet before the acidity from the raspberry kicks in - for then to be replaced by the citric notes from the lime and with a very mild wheat cloudyness before the finish. Ends in a nice blend of acidity, citric, bitterness and some hints of wheat. Quite different and unexpected experience.
