JorisPPattyn (4526), Antwerpen, Belgium May 2, 2005 Draught Reddish brown, dark but clear beer; yellow-brownish had, fast gone. Nose is pure liquorice, bit grassy. Spicey taste - laosroot, swwetbread, Maillard (?) without the bitterness. Ends a touch acidic. Not slick, not refreshing - rather neutral, but medium bodied at best. It’s a bit strange - if this must be a dubbel, it’s a bit too timid. Hunsell (398), Amsterdam, Netherlands May 2, 2005 Dark redbrown coloured beer, tan head. Very sweet aroma, taste is less sweet with breadcrust, cigar-ash and sourish notes. Strange brew.
