Much the same on the palate. Juicy, herbal and floral. The finish is soft, yet noticeably bitter, tending towards sharp. Maybe a little short of grip but, overall, an excellent beer. All sorts of flavours come through subtley on the palate. Honeys, almonds, citrus, cookies. NIce, dry, bitter and juicy, pleasant. RERATE:Cask@The Wenlock Arms, London. This time for some reason i didn’t pick up the almond, nutty characters i didon my first sample. This a had more gooseberry hop character, and seemed to have a more floral hop character. Anyway, it was nice both times, but they did taste a little different. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
