Amber colour. Grassy, herbaceous hop aroma - lychees, gooseberry leaf and spicy nuances. Much the same on the palate. Juicy, herbal and floral. The finish is soft, yet noticeably bitter, tending towards sharp. Maybe a little short of grip but, overall, an excellent beer. Cask (handpump) at the Wenlock Arms.

Cask@The Evening Star, Brighton. Quite a nice, subtle cask ale. All sorts of flavours come through subtley on the palate. Honeys, almonds, citrus, cookies. NIce, dry, bitter and juicy, pleasant. RERATE:Cask@The Wenlock Arms, London. This time for some reason i didn’t pick up the almond, nutty characters i didon my first sample. This a had more gooseberry hop character, and seemed to have a more floral hop character. Anyway, it was nice both times, but they did taste a little different.

Gold with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet nutty start with some honey notes. Hoppy floral finish. Full bodied and smooth. Nice.
