A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. Dark amber with a thin white head. Nicely balanced malt and hops aroma with a little coffee. Flavour is more of the same. The finish is a little harsh but settles on some really pleasant fruit and coffee notes.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Alex Derby. A dark chestnut coloured beer with a beige head. The aroma is fruity and malty with raisins and a little Christmas cake. The taste is more of the same and it’s quite decent if a little understated.
