fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 5, 2007 Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear medium yellow color with a small, virtually none, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, biscuity, moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a short to average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Aug 28, 2007 Cask@GBBF2007. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is honey, wood, fruity hops and some salty hints. Flavour is quite the same, but has a big bitterness kicking into it. harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 21, 2007 Cask handpull at Saracen’s Head Hotel, Great Dunmow, Essex. Pale gold colour with thin white head. Sherberty floral hop aroma. Nice enough in mouth before sherberty distinctive hop kicks in. Very effervescent tingle on tongue lasts forever. Sweetish sherbert, but really good golden beer. DJMonarch (6071), Northwich, Cheshire, England Jun 28, 2009 Cask Stillage at the Civic Hall, Nantwich Beer Festival, 28/09/2007
Small white head. Hoppy aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy citrus and grapefruit flavours. Crisp and bitter lasting finish. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Aug 12, 2007 A Mes rate:
Gravicask at GBBF. Clean gold colour. Lightly sweet and fruity aroma. Bitter hop flavour with a pleasant dry finish. I’ll agree with Ian on the sherbert notes. Not bad. Very drinkable session stuff. Comments: This CAMRA’s 2007 beer of the year is a citrusy, flowery well balanced and crisp golden ale. Very mineral example, but pleasant and drinkable.
duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Oct 24, 2004 Cask@Bedford BF. Slightly floral (with a hint of sulphur-which eventually subsided). Pale bready malty. Some nice kiwi fruit hop flavours, Bit and dry, slightly dusty, quite pleasant. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Apr 3, 2004 [Cask conditioned] Golden coloured. Quite some hops in this one. The bitterness is very sharp though.
