Very dark color. Nice aroma: roasted malt, toffee. Medium body, delicate roastiness, never aggressive, quite harmonious. Not extremely complex, but fully enjoyable.

Mar 15, 2005 Loughborough Fest ’05. Very dark red and brown with a beige head. Aromas are earthy chocolate and coffee with oats. Flavours are smooth chocolate with hints of fruity sourness. Roast malts are evident on the finish. Has floral hops. A very nice mild and a good start to the festival.
