Cask at troon beer fest 07. Aroma is roasted malts, a decent amount of chocolate and liquice hints. Taste is similar, very full body infact one of the fullest bodyed beers below 8% iv ever had. Cant believe its 3.7% packed with flavour.

A fairly pleasant mild. Bready, grainy malts, with some light roast and chocolate. Smooth and simple palate, with a short finish, enjoyable, but nothing outstanding (Cask- ChelmsfordBF 03')

Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival '04. Dark brown with beige thin head. Darkly roasted malts with a sulphery nose and slightly salty flavour. Smokey nutty flavours throughout. A fair mild all in all.

Cask@GBBF07. Strong moccha aroma. Almost black color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, moccha and blackberries, little dusty. Very flavorful, very nice balance. How do they do that with only 3.7% ABV and on cask?

Rich brown colour. Lots of dark chocolate and burnt malt in the aroma and flavour. Some coffee and berry fruit accents too. Dry, but juicy, finish. An impressive, well balanced, mild. Cask (gravity dispense) at Bedford Beer Festival 2004.

Cask @ GBBF 2006. Reddish/black colour with no head. Roasted malty chocolate aroma, hints of coffee. Sweet malty roasted flavor, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Long malty chocolate finish with some bitter aftertaste.

Cask conditioned - Gravity Dispense - Bedford Beer Festival. Some good licquorice notes in the aroma of this reddy brown mild. The taste has good caramel and butterscotch/toffee notes. A very good mild.
