2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at the brewery.
A; Near opaque orange with a lingering off-white head. Light lacing.
N: Biscuit, a bit of sulfur, minerality, grass, straw, some pine. Thereís also an unpleasant phenol underriding this.
T: Bitter and a bit smokey.
M: Medium-light body, foamy carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Not a particularly pleasant beer. Itís like something went wrong - either with the malting process or the water.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Kind of a standard biscuity English leaning pale ale. Some decent citrus pine and bitter, too much biscuit. Pretty ho hum in the end....................."

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub - Pours light amber with a beige head. The aroma has sweet and biscuity malt and some light spicy hops, but its more on the malty side. It has a medium body with light husk and mild carbonation. The flavor begins on the drier side with lots of earthy hops. The finish has lots of grapefruit zest. Enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Piney, citrus notes on aroma, but a little faint. Foggy, light copper in color. Resinous taste, lingering bitterness. A small amount of caramel malt interacts with the hops. Clean and crisp. Medium light body. A sessionable pale that would not be a one-and-done beer. Worth trying.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours a brilliant orange with a nice head to it. solid hop bite on the first sip. aroma underplays that bite so that it surprises a little. Some bit of metallic taste at the back end. worked well with the BBQ at Russell Street.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Much like many other pale ales. Draught cloudy orange with thin white head. Moderate lacing. Medium hop aroma with naartjies and pine. Medium body, more hop, but of course with more malt than an IPA. Light to medium lasting hop finish. Good enough, but not enough to stand out of the pack

the first offering of the Migration Brewing Company. This bar is in my neighborhood and it has a great atmosphere and vibe. While this Pale Ale wasnít fantastic, I look forward to their later offerings. My understanding is that they donít have their brewing equipment set up yet and that they brewed this at New Old Lompoc.
