DerWeg (1492) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 28, 2010
Dark caramel hue, dense foamy cap - nose is spicy and bready, with somne yeast and wet hay. Taste is very pale-malty (showing apple and pear) and directly sweet like fresh bread, Hallertauer hops present as fine and bitter, feel sull on the palate, oily and thick. Late finish is sweet with some pear and apple, hops suggest lemons.

On Tap at brewpub
Appearance: carbonated amber brew with neat average sized top (creamy white)
Nose clean nose , continental hop with fruity sweets of malt. Slight citric touch.
Flavor/Palate : Mid bodied . strong malty base with noticeable hop pairing. Clean brew. Slightly dry mid body with softer malt oriented finish. Soapy hop like top.

blankboy (6007) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2010
Draught at Volo. Pours a cloudy copper-gold with no head. Mild, somewhat sweet aroma of light spices, caramel malt and very light hops. Slightly watery flavour of fruit, light hops, spices, caramel malt and a bit of alcohol. Not loving the spicy bitter finish for some reason. Average bodied. A good attempt but needs some tweaking, as it is it’s just O.K.

garthicus (2661) - Dublin, IRELAND - JAN 20, 2010
Appearance: golden orange with a small white head. Aroma: honey, a little spice and malt with a smidgen of spice. Flavour: citrus, fruit, good amount of malt, tiny amount of alcohol and a long dry finish. Nice.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a generous, slightly off-white head. Aroma is mostly bread with a light fruity sweetness. Flavour is similar although more assertive than the aroma. Moderate bitterness and some sourness in finish. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub Copper pour with ample frothy head. Aroma of grains, grass, and some sweet bready malts. Flavor was just prefectly balanced between the malts, and the bitter hops. A great beer, i would drink it all the time if i could get it.

on tap at the brew pub. deep golden with a slight haze, white head. sweet honey candy aroma. great big all malt lager flavour. the hops hold the sweetness in check but dont really come through in the flavour. easy drinking with some heller bock quality to it. a very nice beer id happily drink anytime.

HogTownHarry (6064) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - DEC 22, 2009
Draught. At the brewpub. Hazy copper pour with a solid frothy off-white head (3+). Mild aroma, some alcohol, very bready and somewhat fruit-sweet, with pleasant dry Christmas-y spicing. The taste followed - a hint of citrus zest tartness and mild resin - still mostly yeasty/spicy with only mild alcohol presence. Soft, thick, low-level lively mouthfeel with a fairly quick malty finish - an excellent winter beer when you don’t want to smash your brains out with a spicy booze monster.

[2619-20091129] Tap. Not much aroma, maybe some toasted grains. Slightly hazy, medium orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy bitter toasted malt flavour has a hint of chocolate. Medium body. Average, weird aftertaste.
