This really rubbed me the wrong way. It’s a pale yellow with basically no head. It starts of promising with bright, fresh pilsner malts and german hops. But then it moved towards an unpleasant minerality and barnyard (or very rotten hay) aroma that I hope was not meant to be there. Unpleasant, astringent finish.

Pours straw yellow with a standard pilsner nose. The palate shows malts with a low level amount of hops that lead into a fresh finish.

On tap at the brewery. Unfiltered. Not much to it. Tasted a lot like the ontario ale for some reason. I’m glad I tried it but I wouldn’t have again.

LIght hay to gold in colour. notes are fruity lemon, hay, barnyard a bit, biscuit, and other tree fruit notes. I thought it actually had alot more to offer than the IPA, fresh and fruity, decent finish.

Draught, 5% at the brewpub. Distinct hop aroma, flowery with a hint of wet rag. Clear golden colour. Small white head. Very malty flavour, almost sweet. Distinct flowery aroma hop flavour. Very flavourful for the style.

Lubiere (10453) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
A hazed blonde pils with a thin white head. A nice aroma of german hops, a bit chalky. In mouth, a nice smooth chalky pils with good saaz hops, medium bodied, quite good. On tap at brewpub, August 6 2010.

Hazy (almost cloudy) very pale golden pour. The nose is very hoppy. Loads and loads of bright lemony/spicy hops… Hallertauer or something in that vein over a soft lingering crackery malt base. A very soft maltiness, a touch of sulphur and a lingering minerally bitterness. Rich and spicy and pretty tough to find anything to complain about here – I could drink this all day.

AWS9 (504) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2010
On tap at brewpub. Mild fruit, citrus, and hop aroma. Simple gold appearance. Mild bitterness. Perhaps a mild interpretation of a german pilsner, but a solid and refreshing pilsner.
