Very pale straw coloured pour. The nose has a bit of odd soap character – which may actually be from the glass. The beer has a light whiff of sulphur and some light grainy malt base. Quite clean smelling – notwithstanding the dirty glass. Softly spicy hops over a clean malt base. Low esters – even for the style. Pretty solid kolsch though.

On tap at brewpub. Fairly straight forward german hops. Dull gold appearance. Relatively smooth finish. Solid, inoffensive german beer.

[2893-20100528] Tap. Muted celery yeast aroma has an odd multi-grain seed note. Slightly hazy, yellow brown body with a quick foamy white head. More light yeast notes in the flavour with a finish of the same. Medium body. Nice, drinkable, but generically forgettable.

I tried this beer on June 8, 2010 at ’Duggan’s Brewery’ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was hazy golden yellow colour, similar to lemonade. There was a thich white head. The aroma was grains, sweet malt, and a weak hop sense. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet grains with a slightly bitter finish.

Aroma mid bitterness shown up front, behind you will notice grainy feel of pale malts. Grassy on top. Light and refreshing at finish.7-
Appearance clear bright golden brew with medium fine head.3+
Flavor and Palate : medium light bodied. Nice soft malts as base paired with floral hops. Refreshing with neat roundness. Milder and softer than most true Kolsch beers I had but it does work well here (if you are not stylistically nerd)/ Good session brew.

Growler from the brewpub - poured clear golden with a thick, though short-lived, white head. Clean, slightly fruity and minerally aroma is nothing incredibly special, but is well-crafted. Flavours are sweet, honeyish malt, a touch of grassy hops, wet stones, freshly cut hay. Light, mild, quaffable, which is the point for a Kolsch. A well-made example of the style.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, grainy and a touch sugary along with some herbs and light grassy hops. Flavour is fruity (citrusy) along with wheat, grain, light herbs and light grassy hops -- it’s flavourful and refreshing. Average bodied. A nice thirst-quenching Summer beer, great stuff.

2010-05-28. Crisp dark yellow body with a small white head. Mild aroma of grassy hops with a kiss of lemon and pale malts. 6+ Flavour is similar, light grassy hop bitterness, pale malts are fairly straightforward. Average bodied palate suits the beer. Okay. It has enough flavour that I could happily drink a few pints if it was the only beer on tap, but it is sufficiently mild that it would not tempt me away from their other offerings very often. Tap at the brewpub, Toronto

On tap at the brewpub. Appearance: Hazy yellow with a skim of white head. Aroma: light lemon, a little grass, hay & a hint of yeast. Very mild aroma. Flavour: malty with a good amount of yeast, grass and a long dry finish. Not bad.

Brewpub - medium light blond with nearly white creamy cap. Taste is lemony and bready-sweet, some grain, pale fruit that is soft and refined. The hopping is fine and linear rather than open or expressive. More than the sum of its parts, will drink again.
