275ml bottle, 6.2% a/v Pour is a rich fiery red copper color, suggesting caramel malts. The aroma is well balanced with a hop note first evident followed by a richness of malt. This beer tastes hoppy off the bat, a very grapefruity hop with a bit of herbal as well. It then quiets down to a malty smooth finish, leaving the mouth coated in its glory, begging for more. A darn good IPA if you ask me.

Draught. Great Brew.. Great example of a IPA.. one of the best OCB versions available. Dark Red copperish color with a large and turgid tan head. Definite lemon/grapefruit from a very citrusy hops in the nose. Moderate malts with a well balanced medium mouthfeel. Great IPA.. glad it’s in bottles now.

Draught, 6.2% at the brewpub. Subtle caramelly aroma. Clear light chestnut brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is caramelly, bitterness above average. Not exactly flavourful, but clean.

Lubiere (9430) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
A copper red IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, toffee and caramel with light nice floral hops. In mouth, a very malty IPA with caramel malt, light buttery notes and good British hops, medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 6 2010.

275 ml bottle in a 6-pack from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. 25JL10.

App.: Deep copper with a large, light tan foam. Aroma: Really nice pine/resinous hops supported by a great caramel/brown sugar backbone, lightly fruity, beautiful. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: A great blend of rich, crunchy malts with assertive C-hops, lightly fruity, really nice; dry with good bitterness and a nice roasted malt and C-hops finish.

Beautifully crafted. Why is the bottle so SMALL??

Deep amber pour. The nose is loaded with sweet crystal malt… a little bit of light toffee and some orange peel hoppiness as well. There is a distinctly sweet caramel malt flavour. A light orange citrus as well as a little bit of earthy/spicy hops. Distinctly chewy and fruity with more malt character than I like in an IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2010 Pours a dark brown amber with a white head. Aroma is wood, earthy hop. Taste is an earthy hop flavour with caramel finish. Nice beer.

AWS9 (463) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 On tap at brewpub. Deep browny-red pour, with slight frothy head. Prominent hop and wheat aroma. Relatively tame to start, but a roaring bitter hop finish hits in the aftertaste. Perhaps could use some more malt balancing? Decent enough. Re-rate: Added some points, I think this one is more complex than I originally gave it credit for.

Beer sampling at beerbistro in Toronto on saturday night. Its a dark IPA with light hoppiness and some grass and citrus flavor. Some alcohol is present and this is allright by me.

(tap) clear amber with medium cream head; faint citrus aroma; watery palate, balanced flavour. Weak IPA character - boring and wimpy.
