On tap at brewpub. Pours a cloudy, ultra pale straw yellow with good-sized white head. Sweet lemon, grain and pepper aroma. Taste is lightly lemony with real pepper presence towards the end. Light side of medium body. Pleasant and different.

On tap@The Brewpup. Aroma of mixed fruit, malt and spice, hazy yellow, tiny white head. Flavour is a musty malt, those hops give a most distinctive exotic punch. Light bodied, well balanced. A simple little beer, yet very unique!

Pours a pale crystal clear yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is faint cereal hop and grain. Taste is thin bodied but fairly tasty pale ale. Lightly malted and light floral and cereal hop.

Smaller 275ml single bottle (luckily, one was alone beside their 6-pack) from the LCBO. Pours a light golden colour with a small white head that disappears quickly. Real cereal malt scent... yeah, the real stuff - no corn. Pretty decent aromas for a light beer. Light-bodied and mildly carbonated. The taste though is kind of weird. Lightly malty, but with rice (it seems) in the aftertaste. Too bad the nice cereal present in the nose is not really showing in the taste. Still, a better than most macro light beers.

At the brewery. Appearance: Cloudy yellow, proud white head. Aroma: Lemon, rice, quite wine like. Faint ginger. Flavour: Lemon, ginger, quite grassy with some toffee and malt. Quite interesting.

275 mL bottle. Really pale. Thin ring of head. Wheat in the aroma. And sorachi, I guess. Weird taste is butter, honey, lemon. Something like that. Dry. Not my thing, really.

Bottle, pours bright yellow colour, really nothing special, it tastes a little better as you drink more. But not one I would likely have again. Pretty basic beer

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2013 on tap at the brew pub. clear golden with a white head. some lacing. clean light malt aroma with minimal hopping. the flavours is also very clean, refreshing, the soriachi ace hops add some lemony flavour and bitter the finish out nicely. one of the best pale lagers ive ever had. //////////////////////////////////////////////// THE BREWPUN CLOSED YOU COULD ONLY GET THIS IN BOTTLES AND THEY ARE ALL BUTTER BOMBS. DO NOT BUY THIS IN BOTTLES, DROPPED RATING FROM A 3.7 TO A 2.7

(tap) clear very pale yellow with tall white head; aroma starts with citrus, then a bit funky; clean, balanced, refreshing taste - more like wheat than lager

275ml bottle from LCBO.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with a small white head. Light lacing.
Aroma : Cheap grain with honey and very very light hops. Very light citrusy notes. Corn and other stuff.. smells like a macro.
Taste : Cheap lager, corn and light honey. Light citrusy notes. Grainy finish, not much bitterness.
Overall : Not good at all. Shame on them for making you think it’s going to be hoppy by calling this Sorachi lager when in reality hops are not even there. Nose is full of cheap grain and junks. Taste not better. Not good.
